International Women’s Day 2026 calls us forward with three powerful words:
Rights. Justice. Action.
But before rights are defended.
Before justice is demanded.
Before action becomes collective —
There is a woman sitting in silence, deciding who she will be.
Meet Charity Owens — mother of six, successful entrepreneur, former political candidate, and now a woman boldly living her dream life in Thailand. But that life is a far cry from where she began.
In my very honest conversation with Charity on Contain Her Magic, we explore how a moment of deep uncertainty and isolation became her catalyst for growth — and how putting faith into action transforms a woman’s life.
Not faith as comfort.
Not faith as fantasy.
But faith as decision.
This is more than a story about surviving. It’s about a woman’s power to rise — even when the odds say otherwise.
The Quiet Beginning of Power
Charity’s story includes trauma, homelessness, and seasons that felt like life or death. There was no spotlight. No applause.
There was silence.
And in that silence, something shifted.
She began meditating.
She began journaling.
She began spelling her thoughts onto paper — what she called “spellwork.”
Not as magic.
But as awareness.
She saw that thoughts become words.
Words become actions.
Actions build a life.
When everything external fell away, she realized the only thing she could depend on was herself — and something deeper moving through her.
That was the beginning of her rise.
The Question That Changes Everything
In the midst of survival, she asked:
How can I add value to who I am right now?
Not:
Why is this happening?
Who will fix this?
But:
What can I build from here?
That question returns power.
And power is the foundation of rights.
Power is the foundation of justice.
Power is the beginning of action.
International Women’s Day reminds us that systemic change matters. But systems are shaped by individuals. When a woman regains her agency- that’s powerful.
Faith as Action
Faith, in this conversation, wasn’t passive hope.
It looked like:
• Sitting in the dark without distraction
• Writing through self-doubt instead of numbing it
• Trusting she was connected to something greater
• Creating a plan forward
• Taking one step at a time
She didn’t wait for confidence.
She acted from trust from within and without.
And that trust wasn’t abstract.
It became discipline.
It became structure.
It became movement.
This is what it means to put faith into action.
Why This Matters for Women and Girls
The 2026 theme — Rights. Justice. Action. — is not separate from inner work.
When women regulate their nervous systems…
When women rewrite limiting beliefs…
When women trust themselves as part of something greater…
They raise daughters differently.
They lead communities differently.
They challenge systems differently.
Justice begins with self-trust.
Action begins with agency.
And a when a woman rises she is radiant.
Reclaiming Your Light
What stayed with me most wasn’t the hardship.
It was the beauty of Charity’s soul.
A strong femininity.
A steady presence.
A quiet trust that something greater was moving through her.
There is power in that kind of woman.
Not hardened.
Not loud.
But rooted.
Self-aware.
Intentional.
The kind of woman who builds with grace.
Who acts from conviction.
Who rises without losing her softness.
And I see that same strength in so many women — a beautiful soul that shines through, even in difficult times.
When a woman reclaims her light, she rises.

Final Reflection
Faith does not erase hardship.
It shows up when it’s all that’s left.
Faith opens the door to trust — trust in self and trust in a divine plan.
Strength forged in survival becomes a powerful force when its focus is adding value.
Self-reflection and self-love light the way for right action.
A woman’s inner voice shapes the life she builds — and that life can ripple outward, creating change for all.
This International Women’s Day, may we move beyond celebration — and into embodied manifestation.
Rights.
Justice.
Action.
And the power of a woman who chooses to rise.
